Bath skylines

I've recently had a short holiday in Bath, and this time I was particularly struck by the many beautiful skylines - the architectural details are gorgeous. I've started to produce a series of ink drawings, silhouettes in scribbly grey ink. The drawings are about 4 or 5 inches by 7 inches, and I've sewn them onto an 8 x 10 inch sheet of watercolour paper. The grey sewn line just adds a little outline to the sky area. I found it hard to photograph these pictures - the paper is creamy but it has come out rather grey in all my photos.

The views here are of the Abbey from beside the Roman Baths, the roof of the Holburne Museum, and the view down Broad Street towards the Abbey. I'm hoping to carry on this series - there are so many tempting subjects!

You can see these drawings in my Etsy shop, at http://www.etsy.com/listing/85035241/bath-abbey-original-ink-drawing-city, http://www.etsy.com/listing/85034729/bath-skyline-original-ink-drawing-sewn, and http://www.etsy.com/listing/85035837/original-ink-drawing-broad-street-bath.

Autumn woollies

Now that autumn has definitely arrived, I've started to pick up my knitting again. I've finished this really soft, light and warm scarf in Rowan Kidsilk Haze, a very luxurious yarn, and it's in my Etsy shop now, at http://www.etsy.com/listing/84905696/scarf-knitted-kid-mohair-and-silk-scarf
