About Me

azuredayart
Hi! I live on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire, England, and work as a freelance copyeditor. I came back to painting and drawing in the 1980s after a long gap, and I'm in a local art group that meets every week in a beautiful old building by the side of the Cromford Canal. I take part in group exhibitions and have had an etsy shop since February 2010. I like to look at details of the natural world and usually take my inspiration from my garden, the wonderful local scenery of hills, moors and valleys, as well as the changing seasons in the gardens of local stately homes. I also enjoy painting abstracts, where I can just revel in the fun of putting one colour next to another.
